2016 European Handball: the squad of Spain
The year 2016 begins with a major competition: the 2016 European handball. After seeing the Warriors to participate in the World Women’s Handball Denmark and win the square for Rio 2016, but rebound off thanks to the triumph of Norway, now it see the Hispanic seek the same goal in Poland.
To do this, to reach Brazil, Spain will have to improve their performance and achieve what has never done in these tournaments: win. Either that, or at least be a finalist and lose that hypothetical final against France, which already has secured its presence in Rio 2016 after winning the last World Cup , played in Qatar.
The coach Manolo Cadenas, who just works in Poland as coach of Wisla Plock, and has roughly, outlined the team that will represent Spain. The squad for the moment consists of 18 players, so I have time to make two discards.
The list is as follows:
Goalkeepers: Arpad Sterbik (HC Vardar Pro), Gonzalo Perez de Vargas (FC Barcelona Lassa) and Rodrigo Corrales (Orlen Wisla Plock)
Stations: Raul Entrerrios (FC Barcelona Lassa), Niko Mindegia (MOL Pick Szeged), Joan Canellas (THW Kiel) and John Arch (El Jaish)
Sides: Eduardo Gurbindo (Lassa FC Barcelona), Jorge Maqueda (HC Vardar Pro), alex dujshebaev (HC Vardar Pro), Viran Morros (FC Barcelona Lassa) and Antonio Garcia (MOL Pick Szeged)
Ends: Victor Thomas (FC Barcelona Lassa), Cristian Ugalde (MKB Veszprem KC) and Valero Rivera (HBC Nantes)
Pivots: Julen Aginagalde (KS Vive Kielce Tauron), Rafael Baena (Rhein-Neckar Löwen) and Gideon Guardiola (Rhein-Neckar Lowen)
After a rally in Antequera and an international tournament in Irun, Chains decide the two discards before heading to Poland, where debuting on January 16 against Germany. Probably one discard will be one of the three goalkeepers and the other will work out the central trio of either the trio of pivots.
