David Ferrer, Murray, Raonic and Nishikori to quarterfinals
The Alicante David Ferrer dodged the tough hurdle representing Madrid’s Fernando Verdasco in the Magic Box Madrid Masters and will play in the quarterfinals with Japanese Kei Nishikori (4) who eliminated Castellon Roberto Bautista Agut. Also advancing Andy Murray (4) that he eliminated Marcel Granollers and Canadian Milos Raonic (5) who beat Argentine Leonardo Mayer.
In women the Czech Petra Kvitova (4) completed the series of four semifinalists closing the activity with a straight-sets victory over Romanian Irina-Camelia Begu and will rival the American Serena Williams that earlier will beat Carla Suarez Navarro.
